The Cluster Fly is often mistaken for the common house fly but it does not carry disease and its behaviour is much different. It is more sluggish and often appears to fly very slowly, often colliding with objects. It can overwinter in vast numbers in lofts, cellars and dark voids. These flies are of no particular harm but can be alarming because of their great numbers. They are generally noticed on the first warm days of spring when they congregate on the inside of windows. They can frequently found in window frames, particularly sash windows. The challenge with cluster flies is that they do not breed in the home (although this is comforting) and they return year after year.

They can be easily controlled with many of the cluster fly products we stock.
